Never Leave Shredded Paper Alone!!!

Allison: "Benjamin, what did you do?"
Ben: "Well, Sammy wanted a ride in the blue bin so WE dumped it out!"
Allison: "it looks like you did more than just dump it out!"
Ben: "Sam did it!"

The picture says it all!!

Disney on Ice

On Thurs Feb 21 we went to see Disney on ice with our good friends, The Kinners. Actually, we left the dads at home with the youngest boys and Tanya and I took our oldest 2. The kids absolutly loved it. Aidan and Alex enjoyed snowcones, Kristin cheered on the characters, and Ben loved his twirling light thingy!!! Enjoy the pictures, if you are a true Disney fan and a kid at heart you should have no problem figuring out who's pictured here.

Having Fun!

We took the kids to the Winnipeg Convention Center for the Kids and Baby Show, like a boat show but for kids and parents. We went with our friends from NS that are living here too, Tanya and her 3 kids. They all had so much fun. There was so much for the kids to do. There was a HUGE bouncer set, a road test area that Sam loved and another smaller bouncer. The kids got to do a road test on battery powered cars. Ben is afraid to drive these, so Aidan chauffeured him around. They got their fingerprints done and have ID card with all their particulars should they ever go missing. When we arrived we were greeted by the Manitoba Moose!

Miss Spider. Those of you with small kids will appreciate who she is.
As soon as Miss Spider came out on the stage Sam's attention was captivated!
Smile Ben! He was in fine form today!!

Banana's in Pajammas with B1 and B2 (Banana 1 and Banana 2).

The gang with Miss Spider.

The 3 boys with Max and Ruby, bunnies from Treehouse. I could not get Sam to look at the camera for the life of me!

River Skating

We took advantage of the wonderful weather on Sunday. We headed down to "The Forks" for some skating on the river. They have plowed an 8.5km trail that goes from The Forks all the way up to Assiniboine Park. There are 2 tracks, one for skating and the other for walking on. Home Depot has built some shacks for sitting in to put skates on. There are trees all along the trail, and benches for resting every so often.

Our first stop on the river was at the CBC sponsored booth where they had some things for the kids to do. They got to build 'Inukshuks' made out of colored ice.

This is Ben's 'Inukshuk'. Then he wrecked it - that's half the fun. He wasn't allowed to touch the ones behind him, they belonged to someone else.

Ben also tried out some frozen water bowling!

This is the view of the river. Aidan and Chris are way up ahead of us. Ben and I were taking our time pushing the chair. Thanks for the idea Jodi, it worked really well and came in handy too.

The chair was so nice for Ben when he finally got tired. We were able to skate a lot further down the river than if we did not have it.
Chris and Aidan skating. Sam is on the toboggan behind Chris.

See just how handy that chair came in. I actually worked up a sweat pushing these two along. It was a great workout, and of course they were happy being pushed in their chariot. People stopped to look at us and thought it was such a great idea. Maybe we started a trend!

There was even a curling rink, complete with painted rings. Very uneven on this side, but they looked like they were having fun!!

The curling rink from a distance. See that on the left - a zambonie!

All in all it was a fun family day!! Hope to do it again soon!

Someone Stole My Camera!

I'll give you one guess who it was...This would be a picture of the culprit himself! In case you can't recognize those nostrils or eyes, they belong to, surprise, suprise, Ben!
You may ask where was I when he should have been in bed sleeping, I was writing a paper. Where was Chris, asleep on the couch!
First, let's begin the tour of Ben's escapades in the bathroom.
His toothbrush, kept up high to keep Sam from using their brushes and sucking on the toothpaste.

The laundry shoot. Only clothes go down this or the "Shoot Monster" will get you!

The counter.

The bathtub faucet.

And of course, what would a bathroom be without a toilet?

Oh, and of course the cover to the laundry shoot.

Next on the tour we have Mommy and Daddy's room. Some very interesting shots from a little boys perspective.
The unmade bed.

Batteries on the bed???

Daddy's chest of drawers.

A lamp.

The controller to the electric blanket - Mmmmmmm.

A view under the bed and the lovely dust bunnies.

The jewelry box he loves getting into.
And now we have a quick little tour to the kitchen as long as no one hears him.

The coffee pot.

The stove.
And no tour would be complete without a picture of "blankie"!!

This concludes the wild escapades of Ben when he is supposed to be in bed.
